New York’s 3rd Congressional District, September 23, 2020 – Portland, Seattle and New York City were recently labeled as ‘Anarchist Jurisdictions’ by the Justice Department. The label comes with severe consequences in the form of losing federal money for the inability of these three cities to control protesters as well as their fervent defund the police push.
“Democratic cities have lost touch with the American people. From their outward anti-police rhetoric and action, New York’s local leaders are now puppets of the mob. Mayor de Blasio, who will surely go down as the worst mayor in New York City history, if not the worst mayor in American history, has destroyed the great city of New York. Just a decade ago, crime was at all-time lows, the streets were safe, business was flourishing — simply put New York was the place to be. We must take back our city from the likes of De Blasio and Cuomo, and even those federally like AOC, and the newest member of the squad Tom Suozzi. Voting these radicals out is the first step to getting our city back, and I intend to serve as one step closer to civility and calm throughout the city as opposed to the chaos that failed democratic leadership has brought us,” says NY-3 Congressional Candidate George Santos.
In response to the anarchy in New York City, De Blasio remarked, “I saw peace, tranquility. I saw people going about their business, people excited about the first day of school, I saw anything but anarchy.”
De Blasio made these remarks despite a 166% increase in shootings in the month of August, and a 34% increase in murders year over year.
“De Blasio is so blinded by his own ineptness that he can’t even see the fall of New York City right before him. The left has embraced the most radical among us in hopes of becoming the woke party or the so-called racially sensitive party. Supporting crime and anti-police actions hurts those they are claiming to help. The most vulnerable among us in minority communities experience the most hardship when police cannot do their job. We as Republicans stand for the police and with all minority communities across the country. Anarchy helps absolutely no one. So the question is, why are Democrats so swift to embrace it?” says NY-3 Congressional Candidate George Santos.
