Presidential Debate Provides Americans With Two Different Paths For Our Country

New York’s 3rd Congressional District, September 30, 2020 – Last night’s debate was certainly contentious and was a clear example of the great divide in our country at this moment. It was readily apparent from the exchanges that only one man on stage had a plan for taking on each issue, and that was President Trump.

“Joe Biden showed us what we all knew already. If in power, he would shut down the country again, therein wiping out all the economic progress we have made since March. His inability to say the words ‘law and order’ also displays that he does not support public safety and instead stands hand in hand with the radical left Black Lives Matter movement,” says NY-3 Congressional Candidate George Santos.

“If Joe Biden were in office during the pandemic, he would not have done anywhere as close to as good of a job as President Trump. When I was in the hospital with corona virus in March, President Trump had already implemented a travel ban from China, yet Democratic officeholders, including Nancy Pelosi, were claiming this action was xenophobic and racist. While President Trump is hard at work, Governor Cuomo is patting himself on the back as thousands of people are still dying in New York daily. Hypocrisy has become a staple of the Democrat Party, and unfortunately career politicians are too out of touch to even see it,” says George Santos.

“Joe Biden, like my opponent Tom Suozzi, has accomplished very little in his 47 years in office. He evaded every question that asked him to provide concrete details of how he wants to move our country forward. From severely hampering the 2nd Amendment at a time where lawlessness is rampant in our big cities to his ineptness in the face of health crises going back to the swine flu pandemic, Joe Biden has no vision for America’s future. This is a major contrast to President Trump who has a plan for how to get the economy back on track and is not afraid to stand up against violence and support those who protect our freedoms. Sometimes, years of experience can be beneficial, but it is clear that we must continue to fight against politicians who do not have America’s best interests at heart.”
