President Trump and First Lady Melania Trump’s Coronavirus Recovery

New York’s 3rd Congressional District, October 6, 2020 – Our thoughts and prayers go out to both President Trump and First lady Melania Trump for a speedy recovery from their Coronavirus diagnosis. President Trump has proven to be a fighter for the American people and just like he has tackled issue after issue, he will tackle this virus head on as well.

“Being diagnosed with Coronavirus back in March when so much was unknown was a scary process to go through. Thankfully, in between the time of my diagnosis in March to the President’s diagnosis in October, so much progress has been made. Thanks to the leadership of the President and the incredible work being done day in and day out by the medical experts, we are much more prepared to deal with those who fall ill with the virus,” says NY-3 Congressional Candidate George Santos.

Being so close to the election adds yet another wrinkle to the President’s Coronavirus diagnosis. Less than 30 days out from the election means the President must battle the virus while simultaneously campaigning.

“Back in March, my campaign had to adjust to more online events. Although the President will not be allowed to travel on the campaign trail, a major virtual push should be made to help with the President’s reelection. Daily addresses from the President are crucial in showing the American people the President is still hard at work for them and will be a beacon of hope for those still recovering from the virus. Again, we must pray for the President’s speedy and full recovery, and we cannot wait to see the President back out on the campaign trail.”

“Although much of the comments made toward the President have only been well wishes from both sides of the aisle, there are still those who hate the President so much they are even wishing him ill. These people represent the worst of what America has to offer. In this time, we as Americans should all be coming together and rallying around praying for the President’s speedy recovery. A united America is so much stronger than a divided one, and we must come together as one America to fight one common enemy, Coronavirus,” says Santos.
