Today, George Santos, Republican candidate for New York’s Third Congressional District, announced he has the endorsement of Democrat Town of North Hempstead Supervisor Jennifer DeSena.
George Santos has wholeheartedly won the trust of local officials in Nassau County. His over-decade-long experience working in finance has proven his ability to garner innovative and fiscally conservative solutions residents can count on. His Ivory Tower opponent, Robert Zimmerman, has done little to engage local support and touts his alignment with Governor Kathy Hochul who said Republicans should “Get out of New York.” Zimmerman’s intransigence is not an effective way to make life better for the people of New York’s Third Congressional District.
“Today, I formally endorse George Santos for Congress in New York’s Third Congressional District. I was elected North Hempstead’s Town Supervisor to bring about some desperately needed change, and my administration is getting things done for our residents. The federal government is in need of change as well, as inflation is hitting record highs and straining the budgets of families. I am confident that George will deliver solutions in Washington DC. George is a friend and a true leader with a passion for the people. He’s about fixing government and getting things done, and that’s the type of representation we need,” says Desenna. “I look forward to partnering with him to help improve the quality of life for the people in North Hempstead and the entire congressional district.”
Santos says, “I am honored to have the endorsement of North Hempstead Town Supervisor Jennifer Desena. When the government cannot seem to agree on anything, Supervisor Desena makes things happen. She is a true aspiration and problem solver. Supervisor Desena and I will work together in whatever capacities possible to shift the accountability back to the elected officials and in the best interest of Hempstead residents.”
