New York’s 3rd Congressional District, October 19, 2020 – “From Long Island to Luzerne” is the headline of a new initiative being run by the Suozzi for Congress campaign in support of Joe Biden. Luzerne County is located in Pennsylvania which is 160 miles from Tom Suozzi’s home county of Nassau in New York.
“This ‘Long Island to Luzerne’ initiative yet again shows how out of touch Suozzi is with his own district. Luzerne, Pennsylvania and Long Island, NY are two different districts with two very distinct needs. Suozzi has turned his back on the every day people of the third district of New York, and it is time we make him pay at the ballot box. Tom Suozzi does not work for you, the everyday man and woman. Tom Suozzi works for the far left. Being puppeteered by Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez and the rest of ‘the Squad,’ Suozzi will do and say whatever to be accepted by the most fringe elements of the Democrat Party. Suozzi takes his constituents for granted as the incumbent by avoiding the numerous debate requests my team has sent over the past few months. He’d rather campaign for the Biden Harris ticket than engage in discussions that would be meaningful for the electorate in New York,” says NY-3 Congressional Candidate George Santos.
“Instead of focusing on the general election in Pennsylvania, why doesn’t Suozzi spend his time focusing on cutting taxes and helping rebuild our small businesses? Why doesn’t he stress public safety, protecting our streets, and supporting law enforcement? Tom Suozzi has failed NY-3, and it is past time new leadership is elected to represent the great people of our district,” says Santos.
