New York’s 3rd Congressional District, October 27, 2020 – Justice Amy Coney Barrett was officially sworn in as the ninth justice on the Supreme Court. She fills the vacancy left by the passing of Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg. Justice Coney Barrett now sits on the Supreme Court as the third justice nominated by President Trump in just his first term in office.
“President Trump always touts the phrase ‘promises made, promises kept’, and this phrase rings even truer after last night’s swearing in of Justice Amy Coney Barrett. From promising to nominate conservative judges to lowering taxes to building the wall, President Trump has done exactly what he said he would do just four years ago. Unlike career politicians like Joe Biden and my opponent Tom Suozzi, President Trump is a man of his word, and when he says he will get something done, he means it.
