New York’s 3rd Congressional District, October 20, 2020 – The Biden Harris Campaign just released their tax plan in which New Yorkers will receive the brunt of the massive proposed tax hikes. Under Biden’s plan, some New Yorkers are looking at paying around 60% in taxes. Additionally, the Biden team wants to raise the corporate tax rate from 21% to 28%. This plan is not only a massive money grab, but in the midst of a global pandemic, it is also another burden on Americans.
“Joe Biden’s tax plan mirrors exactly what Democrats have been proposing and enacting for years. While he served as Nassau County Executive, my opponent Tom Suozzi proposed to raise property taxes by 16.5%, distinguishing Nassau as the ‘highest taxed county in the nation.’ The Democrat playbook includes control over the American people in all forms. From regulating speech to now directly taking from our pocketbooks, the Democrats govern more like Autocrats than democratically elected officials. On November 3rd, we must say no to higher taxes and tell the Democrat Party to stop thinking that big government knows the best way to spend people’s hard-earned money,” says NY-3 Congressional Candidate George Santos.

Instead of punishing businesses with a massive 7% tax hike, we should be finding ways to help them get through the pandemic.
