The Nassau County Police Benevolent Association (PBA) has announced they are endorsing George Santos, the Republican candidate for New York’s Third Congressional District. This is the fourth major Nassau County law enforcement organization to endorse Santos. The Nassau County PBA joins the Nassau County Detectives Association, Superior Officers Association, and the Correction Officers Benevolent Association in endorsing George Santos for Congress. In addition, the Suffolk County PBA has also endorsed Santos.
“To have the support of the brave men and women who serve in Nassau County is an honor,” Santos said. “Law enforcement officers protect our communities, and I will be a strong voice in Washington for its members. We need to make sure officers can and want to do their job. Radical pro-criminal elites, like Robert Zimmerman, are prepared to defund the police and support radical cashless bail. Unlike my opponent, I will always ensure the police have the tools, policies, and resources needed to do their jobs safely. Our momentum is growing every day, and we are building a broad coalition of law enforcement who all know I will always have their back,” Santos concluded.
Santos’ opponent, Robert Zimmerman, is prepared to peddle the same policies as Kathy Hochul in which criminals are set free and are put above law-abiding citizens. His views on law enforcement are dangerous and out-of-touch with the people in the Third District. Zimmerman is controlled and supported by Governor Kathy Hochul and radical, anti-police groups like the Working Families Party; both are endorsements that Zimmerman is “honored and grateful to have.”
In addition to these law enforcement groups, Santos has also been endorsed by prominent leaders such as Congressman Lee Zeldin, Congressman Ronny Jackson, Republican Leader Kevin McCarthy, the National Republican Congressional Committee, the Republican Party of Nassau County, Ambassador Ric Grenell, and Congresswoman Elise Stefanik. He has garnered local and national support in his bid to represent the people of New York’s Third Congressional District in Congress.
