Homelessness Crisis

Currently in the country there are approximately 553,000 homeless Americans according to the US Department of Housing and Urban Development in a 2018 study. It is cited that a major contributing factor is due to mental health and drug abuse. Rather than treating this issue as an economic debate where they are coddled with welfare initiatives, it will be treated as a health crisis where we will allow our police and the proper authorities the tools/training they need to get these Americans back on their feet.
